PVC Oil Containment Boom (floating barrier) is a common economical boom, which particularly fits for the oil-spilling emergency and other floating containment in quiet offshore waters. This is particularly suitable for the long term fixed deployment on waters. It has been widely used on rivers, harbors, lakes, offshore oil platforms and other waters due to its quick deployment and convenient operation.
Structures of oil boom:
-
- There are flexible sections between cross beam like floaters.
- Every section has anchor seats.
- A top ridge rope, middle reinforced belts and a bottom balance chain on boom sections bear the longitudinal load, and form concaves both at the skirt in water and at the flexible sections above water when boom is in a current.
- Boom’s membrane is PVC double-face coated reinforced fabric.
